A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to go on a class trip to a place called Easter Seals. Easter Seals, for those of you that do not know, is a place where people with mental disabilities are given training and life experience.

Along with a partner, I had the chance to interview a woman named Ashley. Personally, I thought she was an absolute joy. She was shy at first, but she slowly opened up to us. I was so happy to get a chance to talk to her. I thought that she was very brave to come and talk to us. I know I wouldn’t have been able to put myself out there like that!

I thought this experience was so great, and I had to write a post about it!

Bake In Paris

Hey there!

Today while surfing the net, I came across the most adorable and amazing blog! It’s called Bake In Paris and it has a ton of great recipes. The post that I found features a fabulous recipe for croissants. Which is pretty perfect for me because I dearly love those French pastries. She included lots of gorgeous pictures of her croissants.

I can’t wait to try some of her recipes. I’ve never tried to make croissants before, but I’m up for anything!  You should defiantely check out her blog, even just to look at the beautiful pictures she has included in her posts.

So, I’m not too great at beginnings but I hope we can get this blog started on the right foot. I’m Emma and this blog is about me and my passionate love affair with baking. Just kidding. I love to bake and I am curious about different aspects of the baking experience. We could call this blog a journal of my triumphs and inevitable failures as a baker. There will definitely be failures…I’ll include pictures of the carnage. I just want to catalogue my growth as a budding pastry chef. So read on and bake on!
